Keller Family Reunion

We were not home but 2 days from the Shirley reunion before my California brother Todd & family stopped to see us for 2 nights on the way to the Keller family reunion. It is no wonder I have not been able to blog for a month. We haven't been here or we have been having too much fun!

The weather had dropped 30 degrees to the sixties when my brother came to visit. We still went swimming at Nat So-Pah hot springs. The water was warm and we all enjoyed our weenie roast. Valerie and Hailey have really started swimming this year. They both jumped off the diving board with only arm floaties on!

Giggly about a frog!

Cade is a little outnumbered but such a good sport.

I love having a personal chef Dave.

We took off early Sunday morning in time to make it to Meridian to hear my parents mission report. This is the whole crew minus the missionaries, Brandon, Justin, and Derek.

Welcome home!

The next day we packed up and headed to Donnely to the cabin for a week. The trip went well minus the road construction wait and getting pulled over and not getting out of a ticket!

Rafting down the river by Banks.

While some of us went rafting, Valerie got to go with 2 of her cousins, Gavin & Quincy to Mcall and eat huge bubble gum ice cream cones.

Holding tight to piniata candy.

Brandon trying to match me 5 1/2 months pregnant!

No one is allowed not to get on the tube hence pregnant me and Valerie!

Grandma Keller & Claire with the same pose.

Everyone loved playing a little woofleball on the beach, Even Gavin who is 2 can hit the ball!

For the most part there was not a lot of admitting to sand throwing but we still found it in all the kids hair!
Cade and cousin Garrett had a great time together. I was so glad he was able to come and give Cade a boy to hang out with for the week. I don't know who had more fun taunting each other, the boys or Boston the dog.
Garrett and Cade were the only ones willing to step up to the challenge and have Grandpa Keller drive the boat while they tube. Everyone else has been scared off or is too old with injuries to enjoy the wild rides Grandpa Keller provides.

Cade wasted no time trying to go back and forth on the wake after getting up. He didn't do to bad for only getting to try once a year.

Jenn helping Ashley try to wakeboard. She did get up but just for a second. She will try again next year.

The tube got a work out this week. All the kids love it and could go for hours.

My good-looking available brother, Brandon.

Mikayla

After our return from Donnely some of the boys went gun shooting and the rest of us headed to the Boise zoo. We also spent time house shopping with Brandon, eating at Texas Roadhouse (adults only), and enjoying smoothies and a movie at Cam & Erin's home. I am still laughing at Cameron's blender demonstration. I do want the 400 dollar blender though. He had me sold.

Ashley & Mandy
Gotta love cousin sleepovers since my kids never get friend sleepovers.

Hailey & Madison

The End.

Shirley Family Reunion

August 1st we headed down to Pleasant Grove to be with all the Shirleys! We do have quite the bunch. It worked out well that Rad & Wendy live next door to Grandma & Grandpa Shirley. We had plenty of space and the kids all enjoyed sleeping outside in tents. The kids were continually entertained with crafts, games, picnics, water fights, and 4 piniata's! The adults enjoyed visiting and eating all of Grandma Shirley's great food! Sunday was a special day because we all got to attend Lucca's baby blessing and hear from Grandma and Grandpa Shirley about some of our ancestors they have been researching. We even managed to have family pictures one evening. That is close to 25 grandchildren and 19 adults!

With that many people beware of all the pics to come!

One evening we rented the city pool. We had perfect weather and no line for the water slides! Hailey has become so much braver in the water since taking 1 week of swimming lessons. She will even put her face under water now! Valerie will do whatever Hailey will do and sometimes more.

The waterfight is looked forward to all year. Everyone can't wait to see what Uncle Ben will come up with next. He always has fun toys to share and the farthest and most powerful shooting guns/tools. The water felt good to all as we were melting with the temperature in the 100's.

We, and I do mean all 25 grandchildren and 19 adults, went on a hike up the canyon to a waterful! It was about 1 mile each way and everybody made it. (I take that back, we let Kristen who was recovering from a c-section stay home with her 3 week newborn).

The kids all crossed the waterful in search of a geo-cash??? This was something new to me but they loved using Uncle Nate's navigator to find treasures.

Turbulent waters do not call for flip-flops. Ashley lost one crossing the waterful but luckily Uncle Rad fetched it!

Dirty faces!

One day some of the sister-in-laws did sneak away for a bit of shopping and dinner. Michelle showed me a great new home decor store that I will be adding to my list of places to go when I go to Utah. I don't know how thrilled that will make Dave but I love new finds!

Welcome Home!

Welcome home Hermano y Hermana Keller! At the end of July my Mom and Dad returned from an 18 month LDS mission to Guadalajara, Mexico. They drove the whole way home and stopped to see us on the way. The kids made a banner, decorated the sidewalk with chalk, and Cade even made home made bread! We were so grateful to see them and thankful for their dedication in serving the Lord.

Of course, everyone was spoiled with presents from Mexico. The girls all got purses with their name on them.
