Valerie turns 13, I mean 3!

Now...
Then....
My cutest little Valerie is growing up!

My talkative little Valerie turns 3 and wanted nothing but a Dora backpack cake! Thanks to my friend Tasha, I was able to produce one. She also got a Dora big wheel that took some time putting together but I did manage to do it. She can now be seen all over the neighborhood following Hailey on her bike.

BYU Blue!

The last 2 weekends we have been in Utah for BYU games. The first week I was able to go along with Dave and Cade. We met 4 of my 5 brothers there. It was fun seeing them but not so fun watching the Cougars take a lickin' to Florida State! We went to 5 stores before we found blue hair spray! I thought it was close enough to Halloween that we would have no problem, but I was wrong. It was worth the search though!

Me, Todd, Brandon, Justin, Derek!
(Just missing Cameron)

I figured I would go to the first game since I will only be getting bigger and will not enjoy sitting for so long! I am 28 weeks now!

This year the girls are all wanting turns going to the games. Ashley got to go to the CSU game with Dave. She also enjoyed sporting her BYU Blue!

And were off....

And so it has begun! We all love this time of year when football season starts. It is still warm outside but kind of crisp. The excitement on game day is contagious and our family looks forward to watching a game together all week long. This week we get to go watch the Cougars in action LIVE playing Florida State. It should be another good game! Only problem is how to load up all of our kids and dog in the Tahoe? Hopefully, we don't end up having to take 2 cars.

What we have been doing.......

Dave has been very busy this past week putting up a vinyl fence! Wow, he did that fast! (He did have some help from our nice neighbor which we were very grateful for). All we have left is the gate which just got here today. When he puts his mind to something it can get done fast. Hmmm, how do I get all the things I want done into his mind? The fence will be awesome for the dog and for our #6 baby. I have kind of always wanted a fence for my toddlers but it took getting a dog to really get it done!

Hailey & friend Jemma playing in the enclosed backyard!
Notice... Chandra's stiches are out so no more cup on top of her head. We still get to wrap it weekly though! She will look like a reindeer when it is Christmas time.

The debate is on as to who is going to share rooms, change rooms, paint a baby room, etc. It is looking like Ashley may have to give up having her own room and start sharing with one of her sisters. She loves having her own room, her bedding, and colors but we can't find a match so I think we will start from scratch which means I have her room and a baby room to paint! Seems like there are always so many projects when I am pregnant!

I bought this shelf for 50% off! I was so excited, it was only missing knobs so all I had to do was find new knobs, no biggie. Lets just say I ended up painting my wall so the shelf would stand out and then of course I had to buy stuff to put on the shelf. I am very happy with how it turned out. All I have left to do is get a picture taken to fill the empty frame! By the way, Dave thinks I am crazy! The scary thing is I think he is kind of right???

That is some of the crazy stuff that has been going on. I am also finding that Jr. High for Cade is a new experience. He is discovering that girls exist! I don't quite know what to think of all that yet. Isn't he too young? All of his sisters like to tease him as they watch him dry his hair to perfection every morning.

Ashley loves 4th grade and being in a new school. She is back in piano, soccer, and clogging. Always on the go. Kind of reminds me of myself when I was a young one.

Mikayla has surpirsed me by being the one who spends the most time with the dog. She will even take her on walks before school.

Hailey has started tumbling and preschool and loves to color and listen to her ipod. She knows words to songs that I don't know how she ever learned. Good thing I have control over what songs go on her ipod. She doesn't always sing in tune but she can sure sing loud.

Valerie thinks she is 2 going on 13 instead of 3. She is quite expressive and talks a lot with her hands and eyes. Her new best friend is the dog.

Growing up so fast!

It is Birthday time of the year for our family. Ashley turned 10 years old on Sept. 10th. She had a few friends over for cake and then they headed off to a movie. She voted for a Dairy Queen cake this year which was just fine with me! We love Ashley. She is always happy and full of life. She is so responsible and helpful with her little sisters.

Chandra, the dog, still seems to be a hit! I had no idea of the work we will be going through just to keep the dog's ears standing up! She is wearing a cup on her head with her ears taped to them. Seems so mean! We change the cup every 4 days. Only 4-5 months more to go of dressing changes, etc. Good thing I am an RN! Just kidding, Dave mostly does all the work.

Mikayla, Lyndsey, Ashley, Syndey, Jaylee, Mariah. Tori is somewhere?

Finally!

Hailey & Averie
Hailey finally gets to go to Preschool. She has been waiting forever! I had a hard time deciding whether to send her to Kindergarten and be the baby or wait a year and be the oldest. We decided to wait a year and hopefully we will be happy. So far nothing tops digging for gold during preschool - not even treats!
