Okay so we found our children. Ashley headed off to get in the line at Wicked taking along a couple of her friends. Cade went to look for the girls all by himself through a misunderstanding. After we found everyone we thought we were leaving the park. We went to the car and had a chat and then headed back into Lagoon.

Most of it is over!
School is out! Clogging and Gymnastics recitals are over! Now we are into baseball and T-ball.
The girls with their tumbling teacher. Mikayla was so excited because she was able to get her back walkovers all by herself in time for the recital. Ashley did well performing her round off back handsprings.
Ashley and Syndey (close up before their competition). It helps when you can actually see their faces. (unlike the video)
Standing in line at Lagoon. Most of them weren't too bad except for WICKED.
This is the ride WICKED. Cade, Ashley, and Dave talked me into going on it with them. I did fine the first time but the last time at the end of the day caused some serious nausea.
We had a lot of fun this past weekend. Friday morning the girls (me, Melanie, Sarah) and our daughters (Ashley, Mikayla, Maycee, Kierra, Kynlie, Savana) headed down to Utah for some serious shopping and girl time. All the boys stayed home and met us later that night at the hotel. The kids went swimming why we watched the Jazz. We were hoping for a miracle at the end.... and it almost happened. The next morning started out SUNNY! We headed off to Lagoon for clogging competition and a day full of rides. Things went smoothly until the last few hours when kids started wondering away. I thought we would have no problem with lost kids since we left Hailey and Valerie home....but I was wrong. Luckily, it was nothing to serious.

Mother's Day
I have decided that Mother's Day is my new favorite holiday. I have gotten spoiled today and have loved every second of it. First off, I didn't have to speak in church like I originally thought I would. Dave had tricked me and said that we both had to speak in church and then fell asleep and forgot to tell me he was kidding and only he had to speak in church. Dave did speak in sacrament meeting and did a marvelous job. After church my kids sent me straight to bed to be alone. How I love alone time (probably because it so rarely happens) I could sleep, read, watch TV, or do anything I wanted. They then started making me a feast and served me a 3 course meal. They gave me a present and my favorite, home made cards and drawings. They have been on their best behavior. I think this holiday should be more often. This is also my time (once a year) that I get to give Dave a honey do list and he goes to town. Yesterday he put in both of my sinks in the downstairs bathroom. They are even functional. Tomorrow, he will hook up the shower and let me soak in the big tub. I do love him and think he is one heck of a dad and husband. I am also very grateful for my own mom and the great example she has been to me.
Cade got all dressed up this morning (he even wore a tie) and helped me get the girls ready. Thanks Cade!
My cutest baby and her binki, yes she now has a binki that she likes in her mouth most of the day. I have never had any children who have used a binki and Valerie didn't even start until she was over 1 year old. Now what do I do?

How about them' JAZZ!
Candy?
Most everyone knows that I like candy, chocolate, and anything else with sugar. So it makes since that I have hidden stashes around the house. But how is it that my baby (19 month old) knows the sound of candy? All it takes is a door opening with a crinkling sound and Valerie comes running saying, "want some" or "candy?"

Flat Stanley
Mikayla finally got her Flat Stanley back from her visit to see Grandma and Grandpa in Mexico. She was so excited. He took a detour on the way home. She was so cute - she prayed for him every night for the last week to be found in the mail. He was and she was able to report on him at school. She loves the doll and the pen that was sent home with him. He had such a great adventure. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa and all the missionaries for letting Flat Stanley visit.
New to Me!
BeforeI just finished redoing my table. Enough with the beechwood or whatever it is called. We have had this table since we first got married 15 years ago. It had been drawn on, painted on, permanently marked with fingernail polish, and my favorite - slashed with marks from a knife. I decided it was time for a makeover. I am now contemplating redoing my kitchen cabinets. Anyone have any ideas of how to darken oak cabinets without having to sand and restain??
As I got looking around my house I noticed that most all of my furniture has been re-done by me. This crib was mine when I was a baby. It made it through me, five brothers, and now five of my kids. They just don't make things like they used to anymore. I have learned some pointers along the way. I do like oil based paint - anything to cut down on priming and sanding!
