Shirley Family Reunion

Oh what fun we had hanging out with soooo many cousins!! 26 total I believe! The kids loved the jumpy water slide, broom hockey, crafts, swimming, going to the mountains, and no one could forget the REPTILE guy! Ty had his first ear infection the day we left. Luckily, I was able to get into the Dr. on our way out of town. He was miserable for the first few days but bounced back quickly.

Hailey was one determined girl! Not many could climb this wall but there was no way she was not going to make it to the top. Even Dave gave it a try and made it of course.

Zip line up the in the American Fork Canyon

This was the coolest private pool we have ever been too. It had imported palm trees, a waterfall you could jump off of, and a water slide you could go down with tubes! Don't forget the huge covered eating place and fireplace. The bathrooms there were way nicer than mine!

Our own private reptile show!

Cade of the Blade!

When Cade came home from camp, all the girls were excited to see him and gave him hugs and Cade even allowed it. Hailey was especially excited to see him because he pulled out her first tooth!
Cade spent a week at scout camp biking and canoeing everday. He had a great time except for when he got sick. He got the stomach flu after his 50 mile bike ride but toughed it out even though he kept throwing up. He had great leaders that took care of him and helped him get a lot of merit badges. He didn't so much like having to drink lots of fluids as it was believed he was suffering from heat exhaustion!! Dave was able to go up for a few days and spend time with the boys. Cade came home so appreciative of everything. I was shocked when he thanked me for making lunch and cleaning it up.
Cade camped by the Funny Farm bridge. This is the place where Dave asked me to marry him. Well, it was one of the 2 places he proposed. Things must be looking good because Dave and I just celebrated our 18th anniversary.

City of Rocks

I have lived 40 minutes away from the City of Rocks for 10 years and have never been there! That has now changed. I even was talked into climbing "Bathtub" which was a stretch for me because I am deathly scared of heights. Cade freaked me out when we got to the top as he was jumping over the bathtub. I could barely let go long enough to take a picture. The entire family loved this outing and cookout especially Chandra. I had know idea dogs could climb so high. Problem was was she had to roll down the rocks a few times in order to get down.

We made it to the top!

We saw a deer close up on our way home

Dr. Pepsi

Hailey said, "Oh no Mom, Jemma left her Dr. Pepsi scooter here!"

(I guess the radio flyer brand does kind of look like the Dr. Pepper logo but Dr. Pepsi???)
I love this girl. She just sits back and watches everybody and then out of no where will come funny comments.

4th of July Fun

We have been going to our local 4th of July parade since moving here almost 10 years ago. It usually is the exact same parade from year to year plus or minus a few horses. This year the parade was delayed a good 15 minutes as a huge horse (u'no the one on the beer commercials) went down pulling a wagon. We thought his leg was broke and no one could get the horse to budge. He finally got up and kept going with blood down his leg. We all clapped as it was the most action we have seen in years!

We then hit the lake for the day. We enjoyed eating, balloon making, jumping off cliffs, and just hangin with the fam.

Design on a Dime!

Out with the purple and in with the PINK!

I got such a good deal on new bedding for my little girls about 8 months ago. I finally got the motivation to paint their room and decorate it. I think it ended up cute and best of all the girls love it and are even making their beds!

It sure helped that I had my friend Marilyn help me and had access to her entire scrapbook store! We felt like we were on the show "Design on a Dime." We modged podged letters, decorated lamps, painted shelves, frames, and even the light fixture! Now I just need to make curtains but there is one problem......I don't sew!

Summer moments

Happy Fathers Day to Dave (a month late) We all love him so much. I love the way Valerie is looking up at him.
This year only the girls, Ashley and Mikayla played baseball. Cade decided to take the year off which made it so we were only at the fields 3 times a week instead of more. Phew. The last game was the only game that was actually hot and required sun protection.

Mikayla 1st year pitching machine

Ashley's last year pitching machine. She loves playing 1st base.

Tori & Ash have played together the last couple of years.

Playing at the Steadmans. June weather wasn't to warm but it didn't slow down the kids from getting wet - just the mom!

Ashley, Jaylee, Mikayla

Ty loves being outside
He usually only wakes up once a night now. Ahhhhhh
