Cheer

Ashley decided to try out for cheerleader for the upcoming school year 7th grade.  She made the team and will be practicing all summer long.  She was very excited to be trying something new but at the same time sad for some of her friends who didn't make the squad.  There were 67 girls who tried out.  13 7th graders made it and 11 8th graders.  It will be an interesting year for MOM driving her around to all of her many activities next year!

Jr Miss Pageant

I was able to help be a half hostess Mom with my friend Melanie for one of our most favorite girls Makenzie Poulsen.  She participated in the Distinguished Young Woman Program and did a fantastic job.  I was great at handing Mel lots of bobby pins while she did hair! I also took lots of pics of Makenzie in action!

Fitness outfit

We were all treated to flowers by Marilyn (Makenzie's mom) before the big show.  There were 42 girls who entered the pageant.  It was a 2 night production and lots of fun!

It is hard to believe that we as friends are old enough to
have daughters in the pageant or be involved helping somehow!

Isn't she BEAUTIFUL!

 Gotta love Easter Egg Decorating!
Easter outfits for the "Littles"

We were glad to have Uncle Derek come eat Easter Dinner
with us and spend the day in the gorgeous SUN!

I can't believe how grown up and gorgeous my Mikayla is becoming!

Spring Break in Utah

We loaded up and headed down to Utah for spring break leaving behind Dave and Cade.  Dave surprised us and met us a day later! We spent an entire morning with Mikayla looking for just the right violin.  She has graduated to a full size now and so we decided to invest in her own.  We were put in a private room and each given bottled water while we listened to many violins being played. Mikayla tried them out too until we came across the perfect one.  We all loved the sound and knew instantly that was the one!
We were able to spend 2 nights in a row watching the top ranked men Cougars play volleyball.  First night was just for the girls and then second night was a family and cousin affair.  We found Cosmo both nights!

We were also able to go to JUMP ON IT and play in a warehouse room full of trampolines and climb rock walls.  The kids of course had a blast with cousins Alex, Olivia, and Elle.  Just in case we didn't pack in enough fun we also tried out a new indoor swimming pool in Lehi.  We met up with our old friends the Woodhouses and swam until we were prunes.   Another hit!  Good thing Amy and I were paying attention as I had to save a little boy from drowning.  No CPR required though! Phew he was ok!

Where does the time go?

Mikayla, Bear, Ashley

Cade & Hailey

Dave just sent me these pictures he found on his computer. It seems just like yesterday. I can't believe how old they are now!

Dave and I attended our first ever Republican Caucus this past month. It was kind of exciting. Romney won by a long shot. We were surrounded by some serious Romney fans. They had matching t-shirts, signs, and started the crowd in chants.

Ty is working on training Chandra. He asks for a treat and then holds out his hand and makes her stay. He then says come and she comes running to him. It is cute because she is as big as him. Ty is also starting to potty train when he wants. He does really good if he knows he can get a treat for himself!

St. Patty Day

We surprised our husbands with a fun date to Jackpot for St. Patty Day. We don't gamble but we sure all love to eat CRAB! It was worth the drive through a terrible snowstorm to eat all you can eat crab and of course talk and laugh!

Camping in Snow Caves

Cade and Dave headed out with the Young Men to camp in snow caves that they made. They had fun but their sleeping bags were so wet by morning that they could ring them out. Dave opted to stay in the Tahoe ( I would opt to not go at all). The next day after no sleep they went snowboarding. Cade actually has learned to ski this year too.
