Cliff Jumping!

Ashley showing no fear

Cade getting ready for take off

Skylar has taken off

Cade, Braeden, Skylar, & Ashley exploring new heights

Hailey, Averie, Brynlee, and Valerie in the mud! This is as close to a beach as we can find and we love it!

Valerie

We found a new place to swim and cliff jump last week. You would have thought we were at Lake Powell. Cade & Ashley had no fear as they jumped off rocks. We even got to see the falls. We will definitely be back to this place.

Ashley's new Doo!

Ashley has been begging to get her hair cut for a few weeks. I finally gave in after noticing all of the chlorine damage to the ends of her hair. I love it and better yet she loves it. Nice cut Mel!

Just Chillin'

Chillin' with the girls at Johny Carino's. Happy Birthday Sarah! If you don't want to be sung to or get free desert on your Birthday, Johny's is the place for you. I prefer Chilies molten lava hot fudge cake!

Summer Activites

It has been crazy busy lately! It sure dosen't help being sick. Everything seems to slow down. It has been a week that myself, Valerie, and Mikayla have been battling sore throats. We think we are better and then bam - it comes back! We did get to enjoy the 4th of July parade and fireworks at the river. Cade was excited to be in the parade passing out stuff and we were excited that the weather was not blistering hot!

This sitting position didn't last for long once they started throwing out candy!

This was at our ward campout. Yes, we have a ward campout which was actually a lot of fun probably because we didn't stay the night. The kids had a blast on this huge waterslide. We enjoyed food, the zip line, and of course the candy canon. I must admit I had to hold myself back when all the kids started scavenging on the ground once the candy was shot up.

We were so excited when Cameron and Erin and family stopped by to see us. Rock band was a hit even for Gavin. He wanted those drumsticks so bad so he could stand in front of us and lead the music.

Ahhh! This was our home enrichment mother daughter activity that I was in charge of. It turned out great and I must say I was glad when it was over. Our theme was "An Enchanted Evening for Daughters of a King." We blew bubbles, had a dress up relay, had story time, made crowns, painted nails, made princess fairies, had pony carriage rides, and made the cutest magnet boards with vinyl. To top it off we had a chocolate fountain with goodies. Any guesses on what Hailey's favorite activity was?!

We can't forget Ashley and Mikayla's Camp Rock party. Camp rock is a show (sort of like High School Musical?) They made posters and treats and hung up balloons. When their friends came over they didn't even watch it - they were having too much fun outside! By the way, I am loving the weather - 80's and cooling off at night.

Date Night?!?

Who would of thought we could have so fun for a date night going to Home Depot and eating at Taco Bell!!! I didn't have to chase anyone up and down the aisles at Home Depot and we were able to have a very quiet dinner at Taco Bell. Taco Bell even has a new fruity drink out. It is delicious and sugary. I am definitely up for this kind of date again!

Abrir (Open)

The other night I was reading a book to Hailey (the book was not a Dora book). In the book was a picture of a goat trying to get through the fence with his head. I asked Hailey what that goat was trying to do? Hailey said, "Mom, he just needs to use his Spanish. All he has to do is walk around to the gate and say "abrir." (I think that is how you say open in spanish. All of my kids seem to know how to say it I just don't know how to spell it). Can you tell we watch a lot of Dora at our house? It is the only show Valerie will watch. I guess they are learning a little something. Maybe that will help us out if we ever go get to see Grandma & Grandpa in Mexico.

Baseball is over

Travis & Cade (these 2 seemed to hit it off and have lots of fun together)

Cade had a fun year in baseball. This year was a little different because he wasn't on a team with all of his friends. It was good though because he ended up making new friends. I don't mind sitting at baseball games especially when the weather is nice. It seems we have either frozen to death or this last Saturday roasted to death. It is better than being blown over though!

Mikayla loved playing T-ball and wanted the entire family to be there to watch her games. She was so excited to get her trophy. (Everyone gets trophies in t-ball but to her they won 1st place!) I was so excited that I found my camera and found these pictures. I thought I had lost it at baseball and went on a wild search for 3 days. I am embarrassed to say I found it underneath my tahoe seat. At least it was found!
